High-paced rhythm and shrill rhyme of recurrent figures of speech is a trademark of Nora Turato. Working on her second comprehensive publication collecting notes from a year passing and a parallel live-only exhibition aiming at inverting familiar structures of presentation and play, Turato’s UKS commission is her first large-scale presentation in Scandinavia.

*Turato (b. 1991, Zagreb, Croatia) is a Croatian artist and musician currently based in Amsterdam as a resident at the Rijksakademie (2017-2019). Turato studied at Gerrit Rietveld in Amsterdam and at Werkplaats Typografie in Arnhem. In 2017, Turato exhibited and/or performed at, among other places, NAK, Aachen; Bonner Kunstverein; Kölnischer Kunstverein; Juliette Jongma Gallery, Amsterdam; Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève; LambdaLambdaLambda, Prishtina; KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin; and within The 32nd Biennial of Graphic Arts, Ljubljana.
