Book launch
PRIJENOSI / OVERFØRINGER / TRANSMISSIONS
Welcome to the launch of the new book Prijenosi / Overføringer / Transmissions.
The publication is Damir Avdagić’s first artist monograph, and it presents four of the artist’s projects, created over a period of ten years, made in close collaboration with members of the Yugoslav diaspora. These works address the effects of the conflict in the former Yugoslavia and the conditions for repair.
In addition to documentation of works and material from Avdagić’s archive, the publication contains texts by Sabeth Buchmann, Slavenka Drakulić and Jasmina Tumbas, as well as a conversation between visual artist Mary Kelly and Avdagić, which provides deep insight into the processes, methods and themes of Avdagić’s work. The book is edited by Live Drønen and Damir Avdagić and published by Archive Books (Berlin/Milan/Dakar).
