CLOSE READINGS
Keller Easterling: The Space In Which We’re Swimming
UKS is pleased to invite you to the third iteration of Close Readings, our no-preparation-needed monthly reading group. This autumn, Close Readings is developing a vocabulary of infrastructural critique. Together we work to understand a theoretical framework for the multiple processes, institutions, technologies and networks that form the arena in which we live.
For this gathering we will watch US architect and urbanist Keller Easterling’s TEDx talk ‘The Space in Which We’re Swimming’. It’s a 16-minute video so we might watch it twice if we feel like it.
You can watch the talk in advance but do feel very welcome to come unprepared. All levels of engagement and questions are welcome. We want to create a safe and open environment for reflection and learning, even when the material is challenging.
Everyone is welcome to join!
