Time: 16 December 2021, 5–9pm
Venue: Kunstnernes Hus, Wergelandsveien 17, Oslo

In conjunction with UKS’ anniversary exhibition at Kunstnernes Hus, we’re hosting a series of events throughout the exhibition period. On Thursday 16 December, our returning social feature, the UKS MINIBAR, will host an open guided tour, a performance by Linda Lamignan & Noella Birisawa, as well as and a deep winter celebration!

5–5.45pm: Open guided tour of the exhibition (spoken in Norwegian or English, depending on the audience’s wishes)

6pm: Linda Lamignan & Noella Birisawa, I did not come alone, 2021

Performing together for the first time, Lamignan and Birisawa invite the audience into a performance that employs song and spoken word, objects, and costumes. Together the artists express feelings and memories, both individual and shared, around diaspora and transformation, decolonial self-love, generational knowledge, and nature as a tool for healing.

7–9pm: Warmhearted tunes in the winter darkness while UKS sells books and merch at warm and fuzzy holiday prices as we celebrate the end of the season.
